Directors Message

At the Board of Recreational Ministry’s June 2007 meeting, an invitation was extended to and accepted by Risa White to become the new year-round Executive Director for Camp Osda Edasdi beginning August 1, 2007. Risa has served on the camp’s governing board since it’s re-conception in 2006. She earned a Master of Arts in Youth, Culture and Mission from Wartburg Theological Seminary in 2004 and attended the Center for Youth Ministries Certification School in 1999. Since 2004, she has been caring for her two children and volunteering in her church and community. She currently resides in Edmond, OK but will be frequenting the campsite in the coming year and camping season.

Camp Sunday May 4th

The Arkansas Oklahoma Synod has granted a request by the AOK Board for Recreational Ministry to

designate the first Sunday in May 2008 as Camp Sunday. Camp is always in need of new supplies for

each camping season. We will be looking for craft materials, first aid supplies, and outdoor camping

and recreational supplies. Each congregation will be receiving a copy of our “wish list” for this

summer’s activities along with reproducible donation cards and bulletin inserts in April. Those who

would like to make in-kind or cash donations may bring them to their congregations on May 4th. Pickup

arrangements will be made with congregations as necessary.
